Rooster brown

I'm the biggest and oldest of the Ostheimer roosters. I'm proud of my beautiful plumage and my magnificently colorful tail feathers. First thing in the morning, I wake up the whole farm with my loud cock-a-doodle-doo and make it clear that I'm in charge on the chicken yard. Have you seen the two pretty brown hens? Their plumage is gold- and brown-colored like mine and they wear a magnificent red comb. Of course, we chickens and roosters all have that characteristic comb....
Original Ostheimer figures are manufactured purely by hand and colored with selected paints. We create our products with great care and use only certified materials. That way, you are guaranteed safe, high quality children's toys. Each of our products is a unique piece that has been crafted with love. Our figures encourage children's lively, imaginative and open-ended play.

Ostheimer chickens

Ostheimer has a large and colorful flock of chickens, which represents the various types of plumage and the many characteristics of these sociable farm animals. Each hen and each rooster captures a different movement typical of chickens, creating a lively bustle. As in real life, the chicks are a mix of yellow and brown.
They are simpler in their form, partly because it is extraordinarily difficult to give the little chicks their shape without hurting your fingers on the sander. This requires a lot of skill and finesse that our sanders have attained, of course, since thousands of little chicks are created every year.
