Goldfinch
You can easily see that I have the plumage of a great tit. I can be found in gardens and parks and you can recognize me by my yellow-green, black and white markings. And by my happy chirping, of course.

Chaffinch
I'm the chaffinch from Ostheimer. We are small birds with a pretty blue plumage around the head, and black and white feathers on the wings. We live in bushes, forests, gardens and parks. And when you hear my beautiful voice, you know that spring has begun. Have you already heard my song?

Bullfinch
As the Ostheimer bullfinch, I have already come a long way. I'm not only found in Europe, but also in Asia. You can recognize me by my proud red breast, my black cap, and my gray-black wings. I like to feed on berries and small insects.

Raven
Whether I'm a raven or a crow, you can decide for yourself. In any case, I'm called the Ostheimer raven and I take pride in my black plumage and strong dark gray beak. We corvids are especially known for our cleverness!

Sparrow
I'm the Ostheimer sparrow and, of course, I'm a lively little talker, just like all my friends. We sparrows are the rascals among the little birds, so to speak, and we like to explore the world in a big flock. When we're playing in a bush or dashing through the yard, you can surely hear us - it usually sounds like a good time or sometimes like a harmless squabble. In any case, there's never a dull moment with us around!

Robin
We redbreasts are shy little birds, who can be found in gardens throughout the year and we are usually welcome visitors who bring joy to people. Our breast plumage is as softly reddish as our nature.

Owl blue
Like my relative, the white Ostheimer owl, I’m also a nocturnal animal, as you can easily see from my dense dark plumage. Of course, my feathers are not blue in real life, but when I fly around at night, it almost looks like they give off a blue shimmer. Another special characteristic of mine are my big round eyes that glow in the dark.

Squirrel jumping
Yes, I love to play, jumping from branch to branch or playing chase with my friends on the ground! Because I'm such a good climber, I often go all the way to the treetop to pick nuts or look for other treats.

Squirrel sitting
As an Ostheimer squirrel, I feel most comfortable when I’m sitting on my hind legs and holding a nut to eat in my small front paws. In the summer and fall, I carry some of the food I gather back to my tree hollow or other hiding places, so that I have something to eat during winter. Meanwhile, my friend, the running squirrel prefers to play all the time.

Owl white
I’m the white owl from Ostheimer and I also like to be called snowy owl. My soft, dense plumage lets me glide almost silently through the air when I fly. And since I hunt at night, it's especially important that I have very good eyesight and fine hearing. That way, I can hear even the smallest mouse scurrying across the forest floor.

Wagtail
We gray-black-white-colored wagtails from Ostheimer are dainty and we have a long and, well, wagging tail. You can see us stalk around meadows, preferrably near water, until we suddenly take off by rapidly beating our little wings.

Blackbird
Everybody knows me just like I'm depicted as an Ostheimer blackbird: loudly singing from from the highest treetop or roof ridge to announce the nightfall. But you might also see me hopping around in the meadows and collecting earthworms or insects for my young chicks.
