I'm a little shy and often stand next to my mother while the other Ostheimer lambs are sleeping or jumping across the meadow. I like to think about Christmas time and hope that I will get to stand in the stable by the Ostheimer crib again to behold the Christ Child.

Ostheimer sheep
There is a large family of sheep from Ostheimer, consisting of ten white and brown sheep. They are some the oldest figures in our collection. In fact, the first sheep were designed even before the other farm animals as part of the Ostheimer nativity scene.
These early designs were created by Walter Ostheimer, but it was Margarete Ostheimer who gave the sheep the classic form they have today. Soon, they were joined by the shepherd and his herding dog who eventually became the logo of our company, which is based in Zell unter Aichelberg, an old Swabian shepherd village.
