Donkey angry
Donkey angry
No, I don't like it when I have to do something I don't want to do. Then I'm really stubborn and show that with every fiber in my body. My big family of Ostheimer donkeys already knows this about me and they love me anyway.

Donkey running
Donkey running
I'm the runner in the Ostheimer donkey family. All day long, I love to run across the meadow as fast as I can. I always encourage my playmates to chase after me, but they are often too stubborn and buck. Have you already met them?

I'm called the small donkey among the Ostheimer donkeys. Although I'm no smaller than my cheeky sibling, I'm the quieter one and can be a bit shy and dreamy.

Donkey small head high
I'm the cheeky little donkey from Ostheimer. I cheerfully stick my nose up in the air and curiously explore the world around me. Or sometimes, I listen to my mother and look up to her kind, caring face.

Donkey standing
Donkey standing
I'm a fully grown donkey from Ostheimer and I'm known for my patience and good nature. I like to watch my two foals play and I let myself be petted and fed by human children. And people are even allowed to ride me.

Donkey stubborn
Donkey stubborn
Yes, in the Ostheimer donkey family, I'm the stubborn donkey who prefers to do what I want. I'm not a mean-spirited fellow - often, I just want to buck because I find it funny. In any case, I like to play with my half-grown siblings, who run across the meadow and can be pretty stubborn too. Do you already know my family?

Ostheimer donkeys

Our donkey family includes some of the oldest Ostheimer figures. As you can see in the picture, it's a big family with many different donkey characters. This big family exists thanks to Margarete Ostheimer, who once observed a group of donkeys in Corsica as a young woman. She enjoyed the donkeys' unique character traits so much that she wanted to represent each one in an Ostheimer figure.
